Kegen Benson is an aspiring writer with a lot of talent. He is currently working on several projects from Ghana Africa where he studies at the University of Accra. To all concerned parties:

I'm sitting in an internet cafe about a 1/4 mile (or a little less than a kilometer I think) away from my room at the international students hostel. We won't even start classes for another 2 weeks.

Here are some things you should know: the exchange rate is 9200:1 so I just exchanged $45 for 415,000 cedis. That's right I'm a hundred thousand dollaraire baby.

My room is nice. I have a balcony.

The people in my group are pleasant enough if a bit weakishly dweebish.

Airplane food makes me gassy....really gassy, which is something that is definetly useful to know. Live and learn.

It's hot and dusty, but there's a nice breeze and the flora, fauna, and folks all about are beautiful. On the walk to our sponsor Mercy's house there are anthills along the path that are probably 7ft high.

We're going to the market place tomorrow in Medina...stone cold medina.

Anywho, so I'm here and I'm alive, and as of yet I am uninfected with disease or HIV (I think). It seems like it will be pretty easy to stay in touch through the internet as long as the place isn't too crowded.

It's 5:17 in Ghana right now, and I've got a couple more hours of sunlight to burn so I'm going to get off the computer, and go try to get somebody to take a picture of me standing next to an anthill. I'll talk to all of you later.
